Amfora aims to provide a digital environment that will enable current developments, innovations and original studies in the maritime field to be shared with the scientific world and published in open access, and at the same time, to be an academic platform where these developments can be discussed with their positive or negative aspects.

Amfora is an open access, multidisciplinary, multidisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed scientific journal with a focus on the maritime field, published twice a year in June and December by Kocaeli University Faculty of Maritime Studies.

The journal publishes experimental studies, original research articles, reviews, case reports, case reports, translations, conference papers, law reviews, decision reviews, book reviews, short communications and letters to the editor prepared in accordance with ethical rules. The manuscripts to be accepted to the journal should have scientific qualifications at national and international level and should be of primary importance; maritime management, ship management, maritime transportation business management, human factors in maritime transportation, training of seafarers, logistics, maritime transportation logistics, maritime economics, maritime policies, maritime law, maritime geopolitics, maritime tourism, maritime safety and security, maritime and environmental pollution, maritime technology, energy economy and efficiency in ships, ship fuels, navigation engineering, ship simulations, ship electronics, control and automation, ship machinery, ship and yacht design and maritime applications.
