Serkan Keçeci is a Research Assistant in the Department of History at Dokuz Eylul University where he has been a faculty member since 2017. He holds a M.A. degree in International Relations (Centre for Russian Studies) from Bilkent University in 2010 and then completed his Ph.D at London School of Economics and Political Science in 2016, with Prof. Dominic C. B. Lieven supervising his dissertation. His research interests lie in the imperial studies –i.e. Russian, Ottoman and Iranian imperial structures, ranging from grand strategy, military diplomacy to geopolitics.
