Sonuç: Bu çalışmada hemşirelerin kanıta dayalı tutumlarını orta düzeyde, kateter ilişkili üriner sistem enfeksiyonları önleme tutumun iyi düzeyde olduğu saptandı.
Aim: To determine nurses' attitudes towards evidence-based nursing and their level of knowledge about preventing catheter-related urinary infection. Method: This descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with 213 nurses who used social media and smartphones and who agreed to participate in the study in Turkey, in Southeastern Anatolia, between March and June 2022. The data of the study were collected with the Personal Information Form, the Evidence-Based Attitude towards Nursing Scale, and the Catheter-Related Urinary System Infections Control Measures Scale. In addition to descriptive statistics, Sperman correlation and path analysis were used in the analysis of the data. Results: The total mean score of the nurses' OHSAS was 59.92±8.09, and the total mean score of the Catheter-Related Urinary System Infections Control Measures Scale was 60.96±7.11. It was determined that female nurses, postgraduate nurses and nurses working in the intensive care unit, and nurses who received training on CDU had a higher mean score on the SSRI and the Catheter-Related Urinary System Infections Control Measures Scale. Conclusion: In this study, it was determined that the evidence-based attitudes of the nurses were moderate, and the attitude to prevent catheter-related urinary tract infections was at a good level.
