Some Population Parameters of Black Goby (Gobius niger Linnaeus, 1758) in The Sea of Marmara

Abstract

In this study, length distribution, length-weight
relationship, age, growth parameters, and reproduction of 331 Gobius niger collected monthly by trawling
in the Sea of Marmara between October 2011-July 2014 were determined. The total
length and weight distributions of the population varied from 6.2-14.2 cm and
2.85–36.25 g, respectively. The average length was found 10.28 cm and average
weight was found 13.71 g. Black goby was distributed between 0-4 age groups.
Otolith length-total length relationship was calculated as OL= 2.337*TL+0.143
(R2=0.76). Length-weight relationship were determined total, female,
and male as W = 0.096*L3.084 (R²=0.89); females W= 0.010*L3.042
(R2=0.88); males W=0.005*L3.33 (R²=0.94)
respectively. The growth parameters were calculated for the whole populations
as L=15.31 cm K= 0.36 y-1 t0=-1.77 year, L=14.89
cm, K=0.35 y-1, t0=-1.97 year for females and L=1
4.65 cm, K=0.45 y-1, t0=-1.39 year for males. The natural
mortality rate (M) was calculated as 0.82 year-1, total mortality
rate (Z) was 1.33 year-1, and fishing mortality rate (F) was 0.51
year-1. The exploitation rate (E) of population was determined as
0.38 year-1. The first sexual maturity length of G. niger was found L50=9.58
cm. The reproduction period was indicated between March to July.

Marmara Denizinde Kömürcü Kayabalığı`nın (Gobius niger Linnaeus, 1758) Bazı Populasyon Parametreleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Marmara Denizi’nden Ekim 2011-Temmuz 2014
tarihleri arasında algarna ile aylık olarak örneklenen 331 adet kömürcü
kayabalığının, ve boy-ağırlık ilişkisi, yaş, büyüme, ve üreme özellikleri
tespit edilmiştir. Populasyonun boy ve ağırlık dağılımları sırasıyla, 6,2-14,2
cm; 2,85-36,25 g arasında değişim göstermiştir. Ortalama boy 10,28±0,08 cm,
ortalama ağırlık ise 13,71±0,34 g bulunmuştur. Kömürcü kayabalıkları 0-4 yaş
grupları arasında dağılım göstermiştir. Otolit boyu-balık boyu ilişkisi OL=
2,337*TL+0,143 (R2=0,76) olarak hesaplanmıştır. Boy-ağırlık ilişki
tüm bireylerde W = 0,096*L3,084(R²=0,89); dişilerde W= 0,010*L3,042
(R2=0,88); erkeklerde W=0,005*L3,33 (R² =0,94) olarak
tespit edilmiştir. Büyüme parametreleri tüm popülasyon için L=15,31
cm K= 0,36 yıl-1, t0=-1,77 yıl; dişi bireyler için L=14,89
cm, K=0,35 yıl-1, t0=-1,97 yıl; erkek bireyler için L=14,65cm,
K=0,45 yıl-1, t0=-1,39 yıl olarak belirlenmiştir. G. niger’in doğal ölüm oranı (M) 0,82
yıl-1, toplam ölüm oranı (Z) 1,33 yıl-1, balıkçılık ölüm
oranı (F) 0,51 yıl-1 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Populasyonun sömürülme
oranı (E) ise 0,38 yıl-1olarak belirlenmiştir. G. niger’in ilk eşeysel olgunluk boyu L50=9,58 cm
olarak bulunmuştur. G. niger’in üreme
döneminin Mart-Temmuz arasında olduğu belirlenmiştir.
