With Dendrochronological Methods Determining of Construction Dates of Some Important Historical Buildings in Tokat and Its Environ

Abstract

The study was performed to find construction dates of four important historical buildings in Tokat and Amasya-Merzifon by using dendrochronological methods. As a result, the construction dates of the buildings were determined as 1425-1426 for Bedesten, 1485-1486 for Gulbahar Hatun Külliye and 1488-1489 for Deveciler Han in Tokat, and 1672-1673 for Bedesten in Amasya-Merzifon.

Abstract

Çalışma, Tokat ve Amasya-Merzifon’da bulunan dört önemli tarihi yapının dendrokronoloji
yöntemleri kullanılarak yapılış tarihlerinin saptanması amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler
sonucunda Tokat’ta bulunan Bedesten’in 1425-1426, Gülbahar Hatun Külliyesi’nin 1485-1486, Deveciler
Hanı’nın 1488-1489 ve Amasya-Merzifon’daki Tarihi Bedesten’in 1672-1673 yıllarında yapıldığı
saptanmıştır.
