Aşağı Sakarya Nehri’nde yaşayan Gümüşi Havuz Balığı’nın, Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1792) Üreme Döneminin Belirlenmesi
Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Aşağı Sakarya Nehri’nde yaşayan gümüşi havuz balığı (Carassius gibelio Bloch, 1792)’nın üreme döneminin belirlenmesidir. Balık örnekleri 26-36-44 mm göz açıklığına sahip uzatma ağları, pinter ve eloktroşoker yardımı ile aylık olarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada 179 adet gümüşi havuz balığı incelenmiş olup, total boy dağılımı 9,3-32,4 cm, ağırlık dağılımları ise 13,76-592,75 g arasında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Aylık ortalama GSI değerlerine göre Aşağı Sakarya Nehri’nde yaşayan C. gibelio’nun üreme faaliyetlerini Şubat-Mayıs ayları arasında gerçekleştirdiği görülmüştür.

Determination of the Reproduction Period of Prussian carp, Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1792) Living in the Lower Sakarya River
Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the reproduction period of the Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio Bloch, 1792) living in the Lower Sakarya River. Fish samples were monthly collected by using trammel net in 26-36-44 mm mesh sized, fykenet and electro shocker. In the study, a total of 179 Prussian carp were examined and the total size distribution was found to be between 9.3 and 32.4 cm and the weight distribution was between 13.76 and 592.75 g. According to its monthly average GSI values, C. gibelio living in the Lower Sakarya River performed reproductive activities between February and May.
