ÇALIŞANLARIN RİSK ALMA DAVRANIŞLARININ PERFORMANSLARI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNDE BAŞARI ÇABALARININ ARACI ROLÜ

Year 2020, Volume: 9 Issue: 18, 133 - 148, 04.01.2021

Abstract

THE MEDIATOR ROLE OF SUCCESS EFFORTS ON THE EFFECT OF EMPLOYEE RISK-TAKING BEHAVIORS ON THEIR PERFORMANCE

Year 2020, Volume: 9 Issue: 18, 133 - 148, 04.01.2021

Abstract

In today’s organizations, employees can display risky behaviours towards their jobs. In addition to these risky behaviours, it is observed that employees make many efforts to achieve their performance at optimal levels. In the literature review, it is seen that the negative effects of risky behaviours of employees on organizations are examined in general, but there is no study aiming to measure the possible role of success efforts in the effect of employees' risk-taking behaviours on their performance. The convenience sampling method was preferred to obtain the data needed in the study and structural equation modelling was applied in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it is revealed that the risk taking behaviours of the employees affect both their success efforts and their performances positively and significantly. It is understood that the success efforts of the employees have a positive and significant effect on their performance. In the study, it was concluded that success efforts have a full mediating effect on the effect of risk taking behaviours of employees on their performance.
