Kalsiyum İçerikli Yemlerin Tatlısu Istakozları (Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823)’nın Büyüme Performansına Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada kerevit yavrularının (Astacus leptodactylus) yemine farklı oranlarda ilave edilen kalsiyum karbonatın (CaCO3) yaşama oranı, büyüme performansı ve yem değerlendirme oranı üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, yumurtadan yeni çıkmış başlangıç ağırlıkları ortalama 0,04±0,001 g ve boyları 11,02±0,099 mm olan 600 adet kerevit yavrusu rastgele 12 adet akvaryuma (50 kerevit/akvaryum) stoklanmıştır. Denemede kalsiyum karbonat yeme %1, %3 ve %5 oranlarında ilave edilmiştir. Kontrol grubuna ise kalsiyum karbonat ilavesi yapılmamıştır. 90 günlük araştırma sonunda %1, %3 ve %5 kalsiyum karbonat(CaCO3) içerikli yemlerle beslenen kerevit yavrularının önemli olmasa da ağırlık artışı ve spesifik büyüme oranları daha yüksek bulunmuştur. En iyi yaşama oranı %5 kalsiyum karbonat içerikli yemlerde elde edilirken bütün gruplardaki yaşama oranları kontrol grubuna göre önemli derecede yüksek bulunmuştur (P<0,05). Bu bulgular, %5 oranında CaCO3’ın kerevit yemlerine konulduğunda yaşama oranını ve büyüme performansını arttırabileceğini göstermiştir.

The Effects of Calcium Supplemented Diets on Growth Performance of Crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823)

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary calcium carbonate (CaCO3) supplementation on survival rate, growth performance and feed utilization of crayfish fry (Astacus leptodactylus). Average initial weight was 0,04±0,001 g and length was 11,02±0,099 mm of newly hatched 600 crayfish were stocked randomly in twelve aquariums (50 crayfish per aquarium). The calcium carbonate was added to the feed at the rate of 1%, 3% and 5%. The control group was fed none calcium carbonate supplemented diet. After 90 days of the feeding trial, crayfish fed 1%, 3% and 5% of calcium carbonate supplemented diets had slightly higher weight gain and specific growth rate than control group. However, survival rates were significantly increased in all calcium carbonate supplemented diet groups when compared to control group (P<0,05). These results indicate that dietary supplementation of 5% CaCO3 to the crayfish diets could increase survival rate and growth performance. In conclusion, the 5% of calcium carbonate can be useful in crayfish diets.
