Effects of Tau-fluvalinate Sublethal Doses on Life Table of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) (Hemiptera:Aphididae)

Abstract

Myzus persicae (Hemiptera: Aphididae) is a pest that causes economic losses in crop production. It is known that the application of sublethal doses below there commended field application doses of insecticides in the field conditions causes different effects in the biology of pests in some cases. For this purpose, LC50 experiment was carried out using there commended field application dose of tau-fluvalinate in the Myzus persicae population produced in the climateroom. LC20, LC30 and LC40 values determined as a result of toxicity study were used in life table studies. Life table studies were carried out as one control and three doses (LC20, LC30, and LC40), and 25 repeats in each group. Only pure water was used in the control group. After the first instar nymph which was placed in Petri has become adult, the oviposition period and the number of offspring was determined by daily counts. Observations continued until all adult individuals in the control group died. As a result of the study, the pre-oviposition, oviposition, post-oviposition periods, total number of offspring left per female, adult life span, net reproductive rate (R0), doubling time (DT), finite rate of increase (λ), and intrinsic rate of increase (rm) values were found statistically similar.

Tau-fluvalinate’nin Sublethal Dozlarının Myzus persicae (Sulzer) (Hemiptera:Aphididae)’nin Yaşam Çizelgesi Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract

Myzus persicae (Hemiptera:Aphididae) bitkisel üretimde önemli ekonomik kayıplara sebep olan bir zararlıdır. Arazi koşullarında insektisitlerin önerilen tarla uygulama dozlarının altındaki sublethal dozlarının uygulanması sonucunda zararlı biyolojisinde farklı etkilere yol açtığı bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada iklim odasında kültürü devam ettirilen Myzus persicae popülasyonunda tau-fluvalinate'nin önerilen tarla uygulama dozu üzerinden LC50 denemesi yapılmıştır. Toksisite çalışması sonucunda belirlenen LC20, LC30 ve LC40 değerleri yaşam çizelgesi çalışmalarında kullanılmıştır. Yaşam çizelgesi çalışmaları 1 kontrol ve 3 sublethaldoz (LC20, LC30 ve LC40) ve her grupta 25 tekerrür olacak şekilde kurulmuştur. Kontrol grubunun ilaçlamasında ise saf su kullanılmıştır. Petri içerisine bırakılan yaprak biti ilk dönem nimfi ergin hale geldikten sonra ovipozisyon süreleri ve bıraktıkları yavru sayıları her gün yapılan kontrollerle kaydedilmiştir. Gözlemler kontrol grubundaki tüm yaprak biti erginleri ölene kadar devam etmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda tau-fluvalinate'ninsublethal dozları için Myzus persicae'de pre-ovipozisyon, ovipozisyon, post-ovipozisyon süreleri, dişi başına toplam yavrulama sayısı, ergin ömrü, net üreme gücü (R0), popülasyonun ikiye katlanma süresi (DT), üreme gücü sınırı (λ), kalıtsal üreme yeteneği (rm) ve ortalama döl süresi (T)değerlerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır.
